Jinan Song, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President – Mr. Song co-founded Shining in 1999 and has been the principal executive officer of the Company since March 2006. Previously, he served as the chief engineer of Sai Bao Bio-Chemical Manufacturing Corporation. He has rich experience in the study of biotechnology and in the successful commercialization of academic results. Mr. Song received his Bachelor’s Degree in Polymers from the University of Hei Long Jiang and his Master’s degree in Politics and Economics from Harbin Industrial University.
 
Travis Cai, Chief Financial Officer – Mr. Cai has served as the chief executive officer since January 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Cai was vice president of fi nance in A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. from March 2009 to January 2010. He previously served as director of finance and assistant to president in Vimicro International Corp. from January 2007 to March 2009. Both companies are operating in China and listed on the NASDAQ. Mr. Cai holds a master of science degree in Information Systems from the Stern School of Business, New York University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Tsinghua University. He is certifi ed as a fi nancial risk manager by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
 
Eva Yan, Chief Administration Officer – Ms. Yan has served as Chief Administration Officer since January 2010. During the past five years, she has participated in formulating the Company’s development plans, implemented internal control procedures and represented the Company in business negotiations with relevant government authorities and other external parties.
 
Henry Tai, Vice President of Corporate Development – Mr. Tai has served as VP since early 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in direct investments, corporate finance and auditing in Australia, China, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
 
Kai Ma, Ph.D., Director of Research and Development – Dr. Ma serves as director of research and development of the Company. He has more than 10 years experience in microbiology. Dr. Ma was a participant of the national 863 and 973 strategic projects. Dr. Ma received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Institute of Microbiology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
